This cat was saved from a rubbish truck before being incinerated

A kitten was hiding behind this terrible rubbish pile, but luckily it was rescued. The truck was full of ‘four to five tonnes of waste’, and the workers could only retrieve the animal after receiving permission to empty the vehicle and search through the waste.

‘It [the kitten] would have headed for the incinerator, and you can just imagine what would have happened.

‘When it was free, it was so scared and tired.’

The cat is now recovering in his new home.
